Our digital map files
include well spots for gas wells, oil wells, and dry holes where available. Also
included
are roadways, railroads, township/range/section, survey lines, city names, lakes/rivers,
and more. Each well spot contains information from LPD such as API number, perfs, depth,
lat/long,
operator name, lease name and production cumulative.
Digital maps are available for most of the
Continental United States and can be shown as well spots maps or
production bubble maps.
Click here to register and download a zipped sample map for Galveston
County, Texas. When downloading the sample map file we recommend saving
the zipped file to your desktop. After the file has finished downloading
you will need to extract the file into a folder of your choosing such as
"C:\MAPS". Next start the MapInfo ProViewer software (Click here
to download if you haven't already installed the viewer). In the "Open
MapInfo Tables or Workspaces" window, browse to the folder where you extracted
the sample file. Next, click any of the 3 listed ".WOR" files. "GALVESTON.WOR"
is a sample well spot map. "Galveston by GAS CUM.WOR" is a bubble map for wells
based on Gas Cumulative. "Galveston by OIL CUM.WOR" is a bubble map based on Oil
Cumulative. |
